The OsteoGram was developed to enhance the use of existing radiological equipment into generating BMD reports comparable to tests performed on the expensive, dedicated BMD testing equipment generally found in hospitals and specialty practices.
Hence, point-of-care facilities who can benefit the most from such a system are entities who have film-based or digital x-ray equipment and would like to perform diagnostic bone density testing without the burden of dedicated equipment and specially trained staff that is not always available 24/7.

By enabling physicians everywhere to detect bone loss before fractures actually occur, and intervene early in the disease process with available effective treatments, the automated OsteoGram can play a major role in reducing the incidence of osteoporosis, one of the world's most prevalent and yet preventable diseases.
